NIS Solutions is looking for a QuickBooks Accounting / HR Specialist to join our team in Sterling, VA

  • Prepare monthly accounting reports, financial statements and other financial reports
  • Prepare weekly and monthly invoices
  • Prepare AR and AP reports
  • Maintain and control the general ledger, prepare journal entries
  • Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
  • Review and validate balance sheet accounts
  • Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard accounting procedures
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 4 years of experience in financial accounting using QuickBooks
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite experience, including MS Excel
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Process driven detail and deadline-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Pricing for government contracting
  • Receiving payments against customer invoices
  • Inputting and payment of vendor bills
  • Submitting and recording payroll
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Cash flow analysis
  • Budget preparation and maintenance
  • Prepare industrial funding fee reports including GSA
